Hello Elena, thanks for taking the time to respond.

You said:

"Jesus himself never explicitly stated in the Bible that he would be resurrected."

My friend, Jesus said it constantly.

[21] From that time Jesus began to show his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised. (Matthew 16:21-22 ESV)

[22] As they were gathering in Galilee, Jesus said to them, “The Son of Man is about to be delivered into the hands of men, [23] and they will kill him, and he will be raised on the third day.” And they were greatly distressed. (Matthew 17:22–23, ESV)

You said:

"Certain things he said like "The sins of the father are not the sins of the son" are relevant whether or not he was "resurrectred".

It's true that sons are not punished for the sins of their fathers.

But that says nothing about Jesus.

He chose to take our sins on Himself and die for them. It was His deliberate choice to be our sacrificial lamb.

You said:

"He does not need to be resurrected for people to learn from all the things he actually said."

He does, actually.

Jesus claimed constantly that He would be killed and rise again.

If He didn't, then He was delusional at best, and a deceiver at worst. Either one would make it hard to trust His other claims.
