Hello Nicholas, thanks for taking the time to respond.

"I admit that when I was young I was fooled by the gospel of John. Now that I know the correct order of the gospels, and have seen the way new 'evidence' emerges as one moves from Mark through Matthew to Luke, I pretty much ignore it."
My friend, such claims are vastly overblown.
Show me any 'evidence' in John that you don't think is present in the other Gospels.
I'll show it to you in them.
John didn't invent anything new. All of his major claims about Jesus are fully present in the other Gospels. They're usually featured in the very first Gospel.
The story doesn't grow, my friend. It's the same Jesus in every Gospel.
This is why Johnston Cheney could combine all four Gospels into one narrative and find it flowing perfectly. Jesus remains constant throughout. You don't bounce back and forth between a divine Jesus and a human Jesus. It's just Jesus, the same Jesus, in every Gospel.
