Hello Notch, thanks for responding.

You said:

"So there was no death or suffering before the "Fall?"

There was no human death or suffering before the Fall, as the Bible describes it -- no spiritual death and all its effects on mortal life: guilt, shame, fear, separation, hatred, blame, and so on.

There was plant "death," as a plant you eat is no longer living, but rather giving itself to sustain your life.

You said:

"We torture ourselves with the sin we committed."

A loving an omnipotent God wouldn't have any reason to allow that to happen."

Why do you think Jesus went to the Cross? He doesn't want it to happen.

He gives you everything you need to stop it from happening.

Why do you resist that?

You said:

"Adam and Eve suffer guilt, shame, division, despair, regret, and spiritual death, all without God doing any of it."

Who created those things? Who allows them to exist? Guilt, shame, division, despair, regret, and spiritual death didn't exist before God created them. Again, why punish all of humankind because of Adam's single mistake? That's not proportional, just, or loving. None of this is our fault."

God didn't create them.

God didn't dump them on Adam and Eve.

Their sin made them.

Their choice to sin is the cause. The guilt, shame, despair, regret, and spiritual death are the effects of that cause.

You blame God for the choice Adam and Eve made.

This is our fault, my friend. Every bit of it is.

God isn't making you sin.

You are choosing to sin.

God is ready to forgive, eager to wipe your sin away, so ready and willing to wash you clean.

You are refusing it.

This is all our fault.
