Hello Notch,

Thanks for responding.

How many would “sometimes” be? Hundreds, over about half a dozen churches in the last two decades.

You keep asserting that we have no way of knowing if God is the One answering our prayers.

But based on what you’ve said elsewhere, this seems to be because you’re importing your experience of prayer into my life.

But these are fundamentally different experiences.

Take Dr. Michael Wise, the man who officiated my wedding, who has worked extensively on the Dead Sea Scrolls.

He had a knee that was so damaged he could barely stand on it. Simply standing in front of a class to teach was excruciating.

He stood up in a service at once point. A person sitting in front of him, who he didn’t know, turned around, smiled, and said, “God has healed your knee.”

He hadn’t spoken a word of the issue. But as soon as the man said it, he began to feel something happening.

All the cartilage regrew in his knee within days.

This isn’t a mere “he felt better.”

This is a medical impossibility happening, and being verified by medical professionals who knew he had no cartilage left, previously.

And you say we have no way of knowing that God is answering prayer?
